Jackson State: M-Basketball: Tigers sign first two recruits

JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State men’s basketball team announced its twofirst singees of the 2008 recruiting period.

JSU signed Davon Jones (Oak Park High School) and Phillip Williams (HalesFranciscan High School). Jones,a 6-7 power forward from Oak Park, MIaverage 13 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks last season.

Williams, a 6-1 point guard from Chicago, IL averaged 19 points, fourrebounds and six assists last season.

The Tigers will look to sign a few more players before the end of thesigning period.
